An Expansion Pack is a direct addition to the main game by adding new maps, creatures, equipment, and content without changing the core game-play mechanics.

Expansion Packs are also entirely compatible with the main game, and content can be transferred from an expansion to vanilla servers and vice versa.

A Total Conversion changes a majority of the game-play mechanics themselves and requires a user to learn a new way to play the game.

  • Interestingly almost every expansion pack has 1 up'd itself adding in a new largest creature in the game with the Alpha Deathworm surpassing the Titanosaur, Rockwell surpassing the Alpha Deathworm, and the King Titan surpassing Rockwell.
    • However, Corrupted Master Controller is not as large as King Titan following the release of Genesis: Part 1.
